Been a while since I've blogged! Been mostly on fb. Since my last communication here, I've been very
involved singing for the reformed all-star group Kid Vicious(now known as End of the World), playing for the Jax/Atlanta r and b star vocalist, Jasmine Rhey and continuing my solo gigs as well as playing bass for Sanguinary. That was an exhausting 2 yrs! I have also been quite busy w/ the hip hop greats Mgeezy, Wes Pipes, and Miss Tramayne in the studio. Soon to be packaged will be a funk/jazz/ rock 3 piece group recording featuring Jon Reshard(bass) and Padget Nanton(drums). Also, a full on soul album w/ many players icluding guest vocalist Chris Williams. Last summer saw the creation of the cd, "Bloodline"(w/ Doug Tibbs from Kid Vicious and Miguel from Sanguinary) and a duet album w/ Jasmine Rhey and myself.

I can't stop myself! Over 20 videos up on the site now. Hours and months
of editing went into those! That project piggy backed into a new
CD- "Classical Guitar", which is finished, but packaging is taking a while.
\At one point, we were working on three different CD's
simultaneaously. The second CD features the backup female vocal group
"The Zoon, Zoon Girls",and a lot of G string bass soloing to introduce
my recently self-designed, "elemental" proto-type bass.
The third CD is a jazz, funk, rock, Return to Forever influenced group
effort. Hardly any vocals- just good melodies and lots of soloing from
top notch area superstars on sax, piano and drums
guest star.

Just finished the classical guitar CD a few days ago! That was a lot of work.
Just 6 stringsand a piece of wood. nothing to hide behind.
One guitar and hours of rehearsal. It's a nice break
to get ready for my next full CD that you are accustomed to - funky
bass, ripping guitar, and flowing, melodic vocals. I'm on a searcg
for 3-5 women who will guest sing on this next one. As we finished
the classical, we ere already doing double duty recording this next band
CD. It will feature my newest self-designed 6 string bass.
Probably, after that, we'll do an acoustic/vocal CD then my long
awaited dream - a trip-hop opera!!

Wow! Been Very busy with engineer wizard, Derrick for weeks!
Reviewing and compiling footage for your viewing pleasure.
Been up til the wee hours of the morn and sometimes back
to D's studio when the sun came back up! And that's on top of student
and gig schedule. At this point, you can go to my video page
and see a wide variety of footage that is not boring. Some of you may
have been part of these shows. Also, soon to have
out a new classical guitar cd. It's a nice interim before next full on
eclectic dave cd. I have video footage of the gig at Bogey for
more video footage up in March!
