Dave has been the director and arranger of a wide variety of choruses and president of his chapter for the pro music organization, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, for which he won an award. He has also been on stage and on CD for many national recording artists in the rock, R&B, and operatic genres.

Presently, he is a studio producer and private tutor for students of
all ages in voice, guitar, piano and bass. He is an author and guitar
designer as well. His solo CD's available to the public combine
an eclectic mix of rock, soul, classical, flamenco,
and world music.. While it is obvious is his performance that
he has obtained a high level of technical prowess, David Redding still emphasizes sincerity as priority above all.

Declaration

As a performer, the music to me is about sharing between the audience and I . . . both play a part. I love the fact that in any given situation I am soul, latin, rock, classical, etc. Variety is my specialty. I am appropriate and know when to be serious or funny. I enjoy playing the characters, moods,
and personalities that arise while communicating various songs.

As a teacher, I waste no time in delivering information in a concise,
accurate and fun manner. Each lesson is tailor made for the
student's personality. I have miles of patience and have seen it all!
I'll tell you honestly how you did. I'm nice but will not humor you.
I treat students with respect and I don't talk down to them.
I try to understand and relate.

I am organized, work and play hard, and am drug free.

Performer...
David Redding forges a craft of performance and songwriting that is light as a feather and solid as steel. His voice floats, then blasts into a sonic boom! The nylon strings on his acoustic guitar and steels on his customized electric are summoned with articulate, soft emotion and then forced to squeal at the top of their "lungs!"

The majority of his music can be described as a heavy, funky groove but the influence of Latin, Mid-East, African, and Asian melody often find their way in whether Redding is being a dance club crooner, rock singer, or balladeer. He may have an R+B and funky rock foundation, but his love of world culture constantly weaves in and out through melody, rythm, and subject matter. An
accomplished composer, performer, producer, author, guitar designer, and teacher. David Redding packs a sincere and
multi-talented punch.

QUOTES

"David''s style is a beautiful blend of various generations of tastes
creating a sound that is timeless."

"Often he performs without a band, but he plays so rythmically and with
passion, that you really don't miss a backing group."

". . . and the beauty of his projects is in their imperfection. Mr. Redding insists on leaving those little quirks and "mistakes" in his recordings to keep it "raw". No digital vocal pitch correction, very little overlapping of guitar parts and definately no cookie-cutter over production."

"David's albums are so fun to listen to. . . all over the place and never a dull moment. His rousing version of 'Pizza Pie Man' made me go get a slice!"

". . .so diverse with it's twisting and turning from gypsy flamenco to hip-hop influenced funk - fom straight forward rock to classical. The common thread seems to be his soulful voice. "

"...Brenner's rock solid drumming and a curving, delirious bass presence courtesy of David Lee Redding. This guy has the ability to 'go off' without grating against the rest of the instruments, and it provides a lot of ear candy beneath the solid speed rythms and Becker's incredibly effective leads."
